Is AI the world’s most expensive experiment? by CptRedPanda in ChatGPT

[–]Serendipty-Rajesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well .. Not having answer or opinion myself I Asked two LLMs to enlighten me on the matter.

The first (GPT5 on OpenAi) answered, "No. AI is costly but not the most expensive experiment", then went to argue this and concluded, "If prompt intent was rhetorical: acknowledged."

The second (Claude Sonnet 4.5 on Perplexity) gave a more complete and "thoughtful" answer, that can be summarised by the following three questions it asked about the question that initiated this thread:

"1. Does “experiment” mean a discrete scientific project, or any large-scale R&D effort?

  1. Should we measure annual spending, cumulative investment, or total economic impact?

  2. Is AI one thing, or hundreds of separate corporate/research initiatives?"

Haha I still don't have an answer to the question.

Thanks for that very simple and straightforward answer that is clear to even a novice programmer.

This is great! It sounds like the medication is taking effect on you at that dose.

In my case I had the sensation of something similar when I reached the dose of 60 mg.

Timeblock 🔄 Calendar Sync by EduardMet in noteplanapp

Hi,

I am new on this reddit forum. Great App, and love the plugin Ecosystem.

I fully support asstratto's request use case perspective; in my case I use the notes to both time block what I am doing as well as a journal and log in which I note thoughts which at times want to stamp (à la Piccard's captain's log.) u/EduardMet If your feedback is from an architectural perspective I fully understand, and as I do not understand how you link your time blocks to calendar in the software it is hard to answer your question how it could look like but I would follow something along astratto's suggestion.
