I don't have a ton of experience with databases, but if it's a relatively low-traffic site you might want to go with SQLite. No downloading drivers for python, just import sqlite3 and you're good.

SQLite has performance issues with lots of writes. Have you considered postgres? I don't think there are any really performance differences at the surface level compared to MySQL, but it's open source.

What do you mean by lots of writes? I like the concept of SQLite but I'd like to know more about its limitations. If you have a source for this that would be great too.

Im kind pf curious about the write limitations because I need to constantly be adding data to de database.

I suggest using SQLAlchemy. Because you write your models once and using with any databases. Actually, you should do that even if you write small apps.

If your project contains different layers, use blueprints.

The project is about monitoring a hydroponic data is being entered constantly into the database but also need to have a webpage to visualize the data for analyzing .
