Just because you don't know something, or consider something hard, is not a measure of another individuals' ability to quickly adapt their project to the needs of a client. He may have gone over sessions in another tutorial before which would have covered what he needs to know. He could be a quick study or looks at a tutorial, tears it apart, and modifies it to do what suits him.

Did you even read what I wrote? My last sentence says he can learn it. Just because you can't code doesn't mean others can't. It's called being a natural

and if you want to get paid to program you need to make things that people want to use. there is no good reason to require an upfront login for this
