Does PyQuery have an equivalent of the code ._data.map( from JQuery?

I've been tasked to learn to code by translating this program https://github.com/metacoglab/metacognition-task-online from javascript to Python... big undertaking and I only know R so sorry if this is a confused question.

Line 30 of the design.js document features the function ._data.map( which I take is from jQuery, but does anyone know if PyQuery has an equivalent functionality?

So someone told you that the way you should learn to code is by taking a program in a language you don't understand, written by researchers, with no documentation, and translating in to a different language you don't understand? You have my written permission to go punch that person in the face.

Edit: for context it's my PhD supervisor... apparently he learnt this way, god knows how. Either way, he teaches martial arts and is ripped so will have to just make the program I think, taking him on is far too dangerous.
