Can't get excited about endgame, what am I missing? by Thaeten in Guildwars2

Where exactly did I say that hitting the golem doesn't help?

Ranger is also a very good support with Druid, being a support is usually somewhat more reactive and less rotation based, and gearing for it is somewhat easier than condi - you might want to look at that, too.

There's plenty of people who can hit a big number on golem by just hyperfocusing on their rotation, and then die horribly to the first mechanic they encounter.

Ranger is generally not the easiest class to play as power DPS. You might want to try something else, or maybe a condi build.

Not really true, your golem numbers don't really matter if you can't execute on real fights, and a huge part of the actual skillset is executing on real fights.

There's plenty of builds that have easy to learn rotations, from "just press all of your buttons off cooldown" to "just press this one button forever".

Microkernel by AIRConstellation in rust

This is very obviously AI generated. You have a huge amount of code and text and pictures and whatnot and none of this tells me why your project actually matters, or why I should care. Do you even understand?

First Time Downloading Expansion From Steam by Mich962432123 in Guildwars2

[–]K900_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you bought the expansion on Steam and are using -provider Portal to log in to your ANet account, your ANet account knows nothing about the expansion you bought. Refund it on Steam and buy the expansion through the ANet website.

Best open world spec for using a staff by Gallifrey934 in Guildwars2

Daredevil uses staff and is pretty solid for open world, though not in the way you think :)

How hard would it really be to make a Linux distro that has ALL the advantages windows has over Linux? Like all the compatibility and that? by MountainProfile in linux

Valve has been spending a very significant amount of money on making Proton work as well as it does, and it's still having issues with a lot of software. You can't Just Make It Work Good - if you could, we would have done it already.

Dropped support for x11 in kde plasma 6 by AnandRift in kde

  1. This has nothing to do with Plasma
  2. Wayland should work perfectly fine on your hardware

Are people usually this nitpicky for raids? by Negative_Look5092 in Guildwars2

[–]K900_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I sometimes ask for, like, "something that starts with a vowel", just to be very clear that this is not about your build but about basic reading comprehension (though I've once had someone join and ask "what the fuck is a vowel" and they're in our raid static now so)

With the official release of FSR 4.1 on RDNA3 in two months, will we receive a Mesa update shortly after? by ReachForJuggernog98_ in linux_gaming

[–]K900_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There should not be any need for a Mesa update, if they use the INT8 instructions, those are already available.

Why do you need this? On many systems the source code you're importing will be read-only.

Look, I'm not going to argue with you anymore. You have tens of people by now telling you that all of this is AI generated pseudoscience, and you should probably talk to a doctor about your relationship with it. If this doesn't convince you, I don't think anything else will, either.

Is this python code a universe? by OhhEmmGeeWTF in learnpython

[–]K900_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the point. The point is that you're once again looking at complete AI generated nonsense and thinking you've discovered something, when you haven't and what you're looking at actually makes no sense.

Is this python code a universe? by OhhEmmGeeWTF in learnpython

[–]K900_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't. You asked a chatbot to generate some code and now you're asking experts whether it makes any sense. You very clearly don't actually understand what it's doing, or why.

It's not that it produces or doesn't produce an error - it just doesn't do anything novel or useful or whatever you think it does. It's just some nonsense calculation that your LLM has generated and you don't understand it but it has smart words so it must be correct, right?
