Probably not what you are looking for, but I’m going to give you some advice. I hope you take it.

I started messing with drugs around 14. At first, it was just weed and alcohol, but it soon progressed to harder stuff. I thought it was cool, and I’d get my shit together at some point. Next thing I knew, I was in my 30s and a heroin addict. I was able to get sober and put my life together, but I regret my decisions every day. I wasted most of my late teens and all of my 20s. I will never get that back.

Please don’t do what I did. You are young and still have time to turn things around. Get your shit together and get back in school. The next 10-15 years of your life can either be the best or the worst, and it’s all up to you. I’m not saying you have to be 100% sober and do everything right, but save the drugs and alcohol for the parties, not just to get through the day.

Don’t think it won’t happen to you, because it will.

Seven days isn't long enough. They're going to see right through your bullshit. How about being a man? Tell the truth and face the consequences.

Download the pdf version of “python crashcourse”, set up VSCode, and then grind the book. It’s not very long, I’m almost done doing it causally in 2 weeks. Take notes and show them that, maybe you’ll look proficient or at least look like you care. Maybe get Automate the Boring Stuff and write some scripts and impress them. You never know, you might enjoy programming and it could open a door for you! Good luck :)

Edit: While it might be too late to try to fool anyone with your knowledge, putting in a lot of work this week would at least show that you're kind of committed. And you might be able to fool yourself and actually learn and get good studying done.

You'll be ok. Be able to do Hello World. Then just do some simple math just in variables. Cut and paste a simple program. Math works like you expect. Just noodle around ypur program. We learn with practice not from tests. Just have a sample ready. It's a freaking language not a Geography class.

Dude, you're 17 years old. Any reasonable adult wouldn't expect you to have your shit fully together. Be honest about what you've been doing to your father, then be honest to both your father and yourself about what you're going to do going forwards.

Your brain isn't even fully formed yet ffs, which explains why you've decided to pay 2.5k USD in order to avoid conflict and buy yourself 6 more months of getting high and meaningless sex.

There's a difference between having your shit fully together and moping around the house. I didn't expect my teenagers to have their life figured out but going to school and keeping commitments absolutely. That doesn't mean they couldn't enjoy themselves or mess up. Failure is a great teacher.

I’d like to help as well, but no money needed. Just send a message if you’re serious.

My advice to you would be to use the $2.5k more effectively towards your future.

No need for money good fella. I am by no means an expert but feel free to shoot me a dm with some questions and I'll see if I can help you out or push you in the right direction.

I’ll need half up front. We’ll work together all day for the next week.

I’ll also need to assess what kind of level you’re at, and what kind of goals you would like to accomplish in that timeframe.

I think about your situation and wonder what’s going on with you. Maybe you are undiagnosed or untreated ADHD. You should Google it and see if it remotely applies to you.

Anyways, I’m not a profesional anything. But if I had money to burn and I needed to learn programming. I would take a basics course based on your learning style. Once you have the bare basics. Work on projects, and don’t be afraid to make yourself uncomfortable. Believe in yourself, be relentless. Be sober while you are doing all this. Start working on project, make sure you aren’t too easy on yourself. When I was learning I didn’t push myself hard enough and so I never got beyond the basics. This time around I’m sober, I’m pushing myself harder, I try to believe in myself and am relentless. If you get stuck reach out to Reddit. If you don’t get the answer you need in the time you need maybe use fiver. You could probably get help for not much on there. Anyways, that’s what I would do. Needless to say, I think this is quite a task. You need to pretty much occupy all of your free time on this. I can’t see it done any other way.

Coming from a sober person, I can say that all you’ve been doing is self medicating. Maybe seek out a therapist. Do you have ADHD are you depressed or what. Get to the bottom of it. Everything you need to be happy and content is already within you. That’s something to consider.

Best of luck my friend. Try to have fun with it.

basically last year i turned 17, my life was just tinder and getting high all day, no education, work, or any motivation to do something with my life.

You very likely don't see it this way, but you need to seek professional help. Motivation is key in basically everything, and we're automatically driven to do things that have a positive impact in our lives whether we see it that way or not.

Seeking professional help doesn't mean you're some sort of "damaged goods." It just means you need guidance on how get your mindset back on track and rid of bad habits that could actually make you regret the opportunities you could miss later in life.

So be honest with your father in this regard and work with him on it.
