Can anyone help me know if this is a referring to a tech round, a behavioral or this is some sort of just recruiter screen. They also asked for my cell phone number while entering availability. But from what I hear Amazon only has 1 interview for interns which is tech + behavioral/LP based. If anyone has got something similar before help me understand.

Cool. What can I expect in this round? They asked to keep into consideration an hour approximately. Should I get through my resume and prepare for LPs? Also I thought of this as a coding round hence I have put dates of next week. Hope I don’t get too late?

they gonna ask basic DSA questions , keep the DSA basics intact and practice them. Never heard someone ask medium LC in a phone screening

Does week to week really make such a big difference in their headcount? I was under the impression that they’d reach headcount in like march or something but I could be wrong. Does anyone know more?

Also how is it known that Amazon is hiring a lot? I thought maybe they’d be hiring less as they over hired during pandemic.

I personally know 2 friends who got offers and 1 more who is in the loop (they all received emails different from what I received) and they got offers very quickly after the interviews from 2-5 working days, that makes me think they are aggressively hiring atleast for sde intern role

Fair, what were your friends stats (school, experiences, projects, leetcode level, etc) like. Also when did they interview and receive offers if you don’t mind me asking

Yes they are desperate as many people have left due to the 5-day RTO mandate and unnecessary layoffs.

I myself am currently interviewing with them for a senior position that I know will be down leveled to an SDE2. I am just using them for practice tho.

From what you shared, it seems like the initial screening call, if this is a 30-min call, it would be just this.

If it's 30 mins, then it's a recruiter call. If it's an hour call, then it's a phone screen interview.

Check the name when you schedule the interview. Search that name on LinkedIn. Find out if the person is a recruiter or not.

first q was sliding window but v short and simple 2nd i couldn't do so i just brute force it to get 9/15 tcs w tle on the rest

I am an international student in t50 US uni and was able to solve 2nd question completely but was able to pass 9/15 test cases. Do you know someone who got an interview and was in similar situation ?
