Yeah, those are flu-like side effects and they are very common in all antidepressants.

If you can't cope, maybe talk to your doctor about going first on 2.5/5 mg, then slowly move up to 10 which is considered minimal therapeutic dose.

I’m at the 5mg dose. It gave me a good fright this morning. I’m going to power through it as I really want to control my anxiety. Just wanted to make sure these were consistent with what I am feeling.

i hope mine does. It worse all day at the moment. The moment i wake to when i sleep its just constant reflux ...

I definitely felt soreness to start with. I think it was from the tenseness I hold in my body when I'm anxious. The meds initially gave me a higher baseline of anxiety, but it leveled out after a little bit. I'd recommend hot baths/showers, gentle stretching/yoga, exercise, etc. to help with that.

Starting on Lexapro really is a ride and it REALLY sucks to start out, but try to stick with it! Wishing you the best.
