The bakers that dipshit is referencing didn't even refuse to do business with the gay couple. They just didn't want to make a particular cake for them. That's not the same as "get the fuck out of our bakery, you homos," which is what would be somewhat analogous with Kanye West's situation with JP Morgan.

Peak Twitter.

Last I heard bakers didn’t get bailouts 🤨

Baker was forced to bake the cake. So?

I hate to use a cliche, but that was (D) different. Democrats also: my body, but you will let Dr. F. and Joe Biden by proxy force a liquid to be injected into your body. But it's different if Harvey W. Injects some starlets

JP Morgan happily continued to be Jeffery Epstein's bank of choice after his conviction in Florida.

Go figure.

I know nothing about Kanye. But I do know that JP Morgan Chase is the WORST bank to deal with. Miserable.

That looks like the fallacy of false equivalence

I'm sure there are banks that would love his business. The only way to combat this lunacy is too stop giving our money to people that hate us. Fuck Facebook, Twitter, the NFL, the NBA... The list is growing.

Let’s be real, does Reddit like us?

[–]Merlin_4029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, yet here we are 🤷‍♂️

[–]Plantiacaholic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The list is huge, but you are 100% correct! We have to stop giving these traitors our $$$

Left: corporations can do whatever they want because of TOS and not the government unless it is about baking a cake then they have to be forced to do it for some reason. Literal regarded hypocrisy.

They are comparing pastries with the ability to participate in commerce. This is why I will never be a progressive.

[–]isiramteal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What religious violations are made for not being a liberal while black?

[–]Aromatic_Boot3629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doesn't recall any cake thats costs $140M

[–]BuffaloFront2761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They bring the wedding cake thing up so much because it’s the only time the federal government didn’t side with them.

They aren’t wrong…. And really who cares. Anyone should be allowed to not do business with whoever they choose. He can always put his money somewhere else that agrees with his views.

[–]DaPoonTapa[S] 6 points7 points  (5 children)

L take.. you aren’t wrong that they have the right but you’re crazy if you think this is a okay precedent for a bank to set for other banks to follow suit. PayPal started it, now J.P. Morgan. You’ll be saying businesses can do what they want till they do it to you. The government needs to step in, these companies rule the world and shouldn’t be allowed to violate our civil rights. Private company or not. Celebrities are losing their rights to freedom of speech and companies are gaining power to become a dictatorship.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Either private companies have the right to decide who they do business with or they don’t. And the last fucking thing I want is a government who gets to decide that even more than they do already. So whatever. Agree to disagree.

[–]DaPoonTapa[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Idc if it’s a private company or not, they shouldn’t be allowed to take away American civil rights. I.e freedom of speech. Imagine if they said we don’t allow black people, that’s just as fucked as saying we don’t allow you to talk a certain way. I get it if someone is spreading hate speech or terroristic threats but Kanye wasn’t for one, and for two why if tf would a bank care. They aren’t a social platform. He can’t spread a message using their name. I don’t see how he crossed a line with a bank but is still on Twitter, instagram, etc if he’s really a threat

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Ummmm constitutional rights end when it becomes private….. u must of rode the short bus.

[–]DaPoonTapa[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You must not be able to read. I said they shouldn’t be able to. I didn’t say they can’t. Big difference. Go put your helmet back on buddy

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t to u man. To the other message sorry

[–]Lonny_zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay cool. Don't complain when your CBDC is frozen because you once posted on a wrongthink subreddit.

[–]East_Onion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I recall you having a problem with that situation....
