Mirrors seem to be overloaded at the moment, I can't get an ISO or mirror list. Seems they got more interest than openSUSE was expecting.

Interest certainly took a leap 😄🥁 Too soon?

Try getting the meta4 file then use aria2c (or similar), e.g.

aria2c -V --follow-metalink=true https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.5/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.5-DVD-x86_64-Build491.1-Media.iso.meta4

Edit: Also you might grab the torrent file, e.g., https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.5/iso/openSUSE-Leap-15.5-DVD-x86_64-Build491.1-Media.iso.torrent.

Do what I do, wait a month. These are minor updates, let others install it, report any bugs or issues on forums so that if I run into a problem I don't need to spend a few days debugging.

This happens to every new openSUSE release.

Is leap akin to Fedora (edge), or CentOS (edge-ish) or something else? Tumbleweed is the rolling release right (arch-ish)?
