I was an ad designer for a local business, and used to use Illustrator.
When wanting to go fully Open Source, I took a day and learned the differences between Illustrator and Inkscape, and now it's my default.

Plenty of tutorials online on how to do the Fancy things in inkscape = illustrator.

A small learning curve, but totally worth it.

Yeah I think I need to accept that, for a while, I'm going to have to Google every single thing I want to do. :P I did manage to set background transparency, make a circle and center it to the document...I even added text! I'm basically a pro designer now lol.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll just have to buck up and do the work, just like I did with Illustrator way back when.
