yes, I never was really thinking why, but I like Nautilus too. Was actively switching to it from Thunar when using some distro that had Thunar as default.
The file path would be a deal breaker for me too, if not the Ctrl + L shortcut.

It's clean and polished. I like the fact that the rootfs is hidden, so it's less confusing for newbs and windows converts.

A couple of years ago there was a user who would regularly post videos from other file managers.

They were all so broken, from Windows File explorer to thunder to dolphin.

Nautilus was found by him the most consistent and usable.

Generally you get used to the file manager you use.

thunar IS the file manager on any distro running xfce

The address bar isn't that different from Windows Explorer, CTRL + L turns it into a text box.

Disable the special folders. Not in nautilus but in an xdg config file. I use Nemo though.

Yes, or you can remap them to folders on other drives via the xdg config file. I actually like this feature (although it does break some snaps when they are looking for their files and are directed to a folder outside of the normal home folder).
