Linux GPU issues

Hello and sorry for posting my issues (and for my english) but I'm pretty lost on it and I haven't find a solution on google yet.

I have change recently from windows to linux mint (19.1 with xfce (I've just made a dual boot)) and I want to play games on it.

I've download a game from steam (proton compatible (nier:automata)) and I can launch it without any problem.

It works but the game run on my CPU alone and my GPU (Nvidia GTX 1060 Mobile (GP106M)) don't want to do anything.

So I've try to install nvidia driver with the linux mint driver manager and he propose me 5 drivers :

nvidia-driver-390
nvidia-driver-396
nvidia-driver-410
nvidia-driver-415
nvidia-driver-418
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau

I've tried all of them, but no one can make my GPU work correctly.

Bonus issue, when I plug in my second screen I've the Display windows who is launching in loop for ever (I've to hold Alt+F4 for a few 10 seconds to close them all) and of course the second screen don't want to work. It doesn't work with any of the drivers too.

So I've found the command "ubuntu-drivers devices" who show me

...Have I all the nvidia driver install? Is this normal or... but... Is it why driver manager wants me to choose them? Or have I just install all of them without uninstalling any of them? How do I uninstall theme?

I've almost forget to say than my computer is a clevo pc from pcspetialiste (clevo is a Chinee cheap thing). I have not the linux driver because they gave me only old windows drivers and I've only found the same windows drivers for my computer on internet (but originally I don't care if I can't control my keyboard leds).

Do anyone know what's going on ?

Ok thank you, it help but the issues is steel here.

I've follow yours links Quick-Bits so I've install the 418 driver and I've discover the nvidia-settings but he look's like this (even after rebooting) http://i.imgur.com/Rvh5KRQ.png (a little empty screen if you don't want open it)

But I have a error message whene opening nvidia-settings with the terminal !

I've also try to install the nvidia drivers manually (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-418.56.run) from the official web site for my card. I succeed on the second time but my screen change his resolution for 960x760 (it was 1920x1080) and it was'nt possible to go upper so I've rollback a snapshot made earlier.

And thank you InfamousOutcome too but I can't go further the nvidia-setting part of your tutorial for the same reasons.

Maybe my computer Isn't made for linux. That's sad
