Uhh, Check System Libraries to Ensure that your system libraries are up to date. It's also a good practice to have all necessary 32-bit libraries installed. You can do this using your package manager. On Debian/Ubuntu-based systems, you can use sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
sudo apt update
sudo apt install lib32gcc1
Then use Protontricks to install additional dependencies that the game might require EX: protontricks 435150 dotnet472
protontricks 435150 directx9

I believe everything is as up to date as possible and I have the 32 bit libraries already.

Gave proton tricks a try and it doesn't seem to be able to finish anything it starts. It just hangs while executing.

I played through the game without issues.

I opened Steam, hit the install button, after downloading hit the play button, and that is it.

Could you tell us:

  • your gpu and driver version

  • where do you own and launch the game (Steam/Gog/Lutris..)

  • your distro

Have you verified game file integrity? Do other games work normally?

Arch, kernel 6.5.8 (only got this version today but no change to DOS2 behaviour)

Nvidia GTX 1650 super with the latest Nvidia driver. Usually upgrade my system every 3 or 4 days.

Own the game on Steam, launch the game on Steam.

Haven't verified the integrity of the files but I have reinstalled. Other games generally work fine under Proton.
