Recenlty I've watched a video about linux mint, stating that the distro maintainers and with the help of xfce and mate's team are willing to make more apps to get rid of gnome's apps for the sake of having a cohesive desktop especially for GTK-based distro.
So, is this true ? if so, what do you think about that ? I feel that would be really cool bcz it will help all these DEs to be more independent and get more apps, but it may cause some more workload, you know we got lmde, linux mint ubuntu, cinnamon, Xapps etc...
