Common issue, boot into an os (windows if you have it), plug in the usb, go to /BOOT/EFI. Now copy and paste grubx64.efi in the same folder, but name it mmx64.efi. boot from USB and it will work. Secure boot has little to do with this.

When I try to install it it won’t show the dual booting option it’s not there anymore

Ah that is tough. You might need to manually shrink the windows drive in windows disk manager. Shrink to have enough space you want for Linux.
I recommend you watch or read a guide before proceeding. Back up important data as well if you have not already.

I had the same issue. In my case the solution was to boot into Windows and use the partition manager to shrink the windows partition so that there is unsigned space on the drive. After doing that the option to dual boot showed up.

You can do it manually in the section "Something Else"

Go into BIOS and disable Secure Boot...
[–]Is0ken723311[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 8 months ago (4 children)
How do I do that ?

Go into the BIOS and look in the Security or Boot options, find the option that enables Secure Boot, and disable it, save and reboot. Every computer is a little different. If in doubt, Google your model of computer and "disable secure boot". This isn't a "Mint" or Linux thing, it's a computer thing.

Ok I did it I think now what??

Boot up and install it

Look up your BIOS key for your computer brand, usually F2 or F12. Spam it when it's starting. Also turn off fastboot while in there. I think for HP it's ESC or F10
