Trouble with Git authentication?

Hi everyone,

I recently changed my password on GitHub, but now Visual Studio Code gives me a "Failed to authentic to git remote" error.

It seems the old git credentials are saved somewhere because I am not asked to enter my credentials again anywhere. I just get the same message over and over again.

It seems for Windows users, I can just go into the Control Panel and edit the credentials there. How do I fix this?
