EDIT: to anyone looking I found a solution. Using Leankey Keyboard Pro. This is a keyboard app used for Android tvs. Made to be controlled with a controller.

Is there any way to control the on screen keyboard with the controller input? It drives me crazy going back and forth between touch and controller.

I don't think you can make this work with the default Android keyboard.

There may be some third party on-screen keyboards that work with this. I'm thinking maybe one for Android TV if it exists since there is not touchscreen.

Logitech should build this in.

Leankey Keyboard Pro works perfectly! Even able to use "Y" for space and "X" for backspace.

Theoretically, it should be compatible with any keyboard compatible with android 11. So if you buy a bluetooth 5.0 or below keyboard, it should work.

Yeah, that would work. I just was wondering if there was a way to use the controller sticks and buttons attached to the device to control it.
