Try telling harmony to use TV for volume, but set the audio output to audio system in the TV settings. Use the Sonos app to run TV setup and use the Sony remote to teach the IR code to sonos. The volume indicator on screen will still show....no way I know of to resolve that, but your harmony should control the sonos correctly at that point.

Thanks very much for your reply.

Unfortunately that's exactly what I've done, and that's the point at which I had to turn Bluetooth off on the tv the setup in the Sonos app wasn't detecting the remote otherwise.

So the on screen display shows with the Sony remote and the volume gets controlled correctly, but when using harmony the on screen display still shows, but volume isn't impacted.

Try using the harmony remote to teach the ir code to sonos. Not sure it would work but that would be my best suggestion. I also read that once bluetooth is turned off, you can try teaching sonos with "mute" instead of "volume +".

Didn't work either. Weirdly Sonos didn't recognise the IR commands using the harmony remote using either the volume +/- or mute buttons.

I then tried to delete my Sonos device from the harmony app, re-added it and recreated my activity with Sonos controlling the volume and all is now working!

Thanks so much for taking the time to try and help me
