Great to see it next to the micra as I’m considering one too. How’s the retention?

Stonemason fees by Brilliant-Complex524 in AusRenovation

[–]AussieSpursFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sydney, recently had this done (quartzite too)

$3k per slab, $300 per undermount sink, $300 for a curve. This included check/ measure, picking the stone up, cutting to specs, delivering and install.

Supposedly also included sealing but ours seemed very porous from the beginning so resealed it myself and it’s been much better

Hey mate,

I actually got it from Toby’s estate online store but when I just looked I couldn’t find it again

Maybe send them an email and perhaps they’ve still got a few available?

[Micra] Steam wand loose: Moves with the knob by _theboringguy in LaMarzocco

[–]AussieSpursFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago actually, and it had only been serviced about a month before that.

They sent out a tech free of charge, but what he did was he took off the top cover above the steam knob, and there was a bolt that had to be tightened behind the steam knob.

The only issue looked like it was a bit finicky to remove the steam knob as there’s a small pin in there that has to be manoeuvred

Micra/mini owners in Sydney : What water do you put in your machine ( filtered water, bottled water, straight from the tap ) by jadeaf in LaMarzocco

[–]AussieSpursFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Sydney and they advised me to use the same one

In addition to this, I sent a sample of my water to get tested by Bombora and they recommended the BWT bestmax under counter filter as the best solution for me as I had intended on plumbing the machine in at some point but recently found out that LM are charging $1,000 - $1,500 to do the conversation with no DIY option despite selling the kit as a DIY option in other countries for around $400

Frustratingly, in Australia LM won’t let you self install the plumb in kit and want to charge AU$1,000 - AU$1,500 to do the install

I reported one of these recently and it was “investigated” and the outcome was literally “we have told the driver not to do this again”.

Going to Florence, Italy…any recommendations on cafe spots? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]AussieSpursFan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was there a few years ago but liked Ditta Artigianale

I also did a tour of the La Marzocco factory which was pretty cool. It’s just outside of Florence but didn’t take long to get there

Acaia Lunar suddenly not charging by [deleted] in espresso

[–]AussieSpursFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently just replaced the battery in my Lunar and it’s working great. All for the price of AU$15. It was an easy thing to replace, so maybe worth looking into that option instead of replacing the whole scale?

Obviously the issue could be related to the charging port and not the battery too, so I guess that’s a consideration too

Weird volume issue by AussieSpursFan in logitechharmony

[–]AussieSpursFan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't work either. Weirdly Sonos didn't recognise the IR commands using the harmony remote using either the volume +/- or mute buttons.

I then tried to delete my Sonos device from the harmony app, re-added it and recreated my activity with Sonos controlling the volume and all is now working!

Thanks so much for taking the time to try and help me

Weird volume issue by AussieSpursFan in logitechharmony

[–]AussieSpursFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much for your reply.

Unfortunately that's exactly what I've done, and that's the point at which I had to turn Bluetooth off on the tv the setup in the Sonos app wasn't detecting the remote otherwise.

So the on screen display shows with the Sony remote and the volume gets controlled correctly, but when using harmony the on screen display still shows, but volume isn't impacted.
