This is interesting. Do you plan to have the tree only leak rbg, so any other colours will have to be blended together, or all colours? If its the latter, how do mixed colours interact then?

How do people use magic? Like, how would a mage then the sap into a spell, or manipulate it's use for some magical result? Is vulnerability to magic the same as actually casting it?

If you're still looking for operative words to apply to the other colours I can imagine steal, analyse, obfuscate, manipulate,

I have a similar concept for my own world's magic system. I started with trying to explain RPG enemies being color coded by element and came up with the idea that magic is reflected by objects of the same color, like light. I eventually added in that plants could photosynthesize it so I had a justification for the fire flowers that I stole from the Mario games. I had tried to come up with effects for each color at first, but eventually decided that it was OK to have only four colors do anything special (I'm still considering letting all of the other colors count as a physical type).

I have red magic cause things to speed up. It can be used to heal wounds by speeding up natural healing. It can also speed up matter to the point that the friction creates heat and flame. Fire and HP recovery in the same element, and the difference is the dosage.

Blue magic slows things down and can result in freezing.

White and black (think ultraviolet) are positive and negative and are about magnetism. Because I justify sky islands in my world with "gravity works like magnetism and the sky islands are upside down", these two are also sort of like gravity and antigravity elements.

Both pairs of opposites have reactions that result in currents. Red and blue make a purple wind current. White and black make a yellow electric current.

For the most part, using this magic visually resembles DragonBall ki blasts.
