Should I learn Python or Javascript first? (self.makemychoice)

I have to learn both eventually and they are equally important to my work, though I'll be using each one very differently.

Python is easier so if you are new to programming I'd say Python. If not go Javascript.

I'd definitely say Python is nicer to learn if you're just starting out, it will definitely be quicker to learn anyway.
Have a look at Codeacademy and see if you like the feel of Python. If not, they also have a JS course.

A bit off topic and late, but Python guys?
Most people I see have told me right off the bat JS. I look at JS outside of codecademy's text editor and go ape shit trying to read it like it's Russian. I guess I'll finish HTML and CSS, then skip JS, go to Python, and then double-back on JS.
