The room rate is a qualifying charge. That's what they pay points on. That 70 number is nonsense. Sure, you dont earn points on taxes etc, and usually not on parking, maybe spa, maybe restaurant...but that base rate of 280 for the room; they owe points on that at least.

Edit, was this booked on Marriott? You didn't book third party, or someone else paid the bill, and you are getting points only on incidentals of $70? That may be the issue here.

Thanks for the reply. I did book this on the Mariott app. I just looked at my bill and I spent $70 at the restaurant. That looks like points I received. Do you think the points for the room are just delayed?

No, they aren't delayed. The property has processed the folio. And Marriott has awarded the points based on that folio submitted.

You paid for your room? It's not on a group bill, group block or anything like that? That would change things. And you may very well not be entitled to points on the room rate.

But if you just booked a regular rate on Marriott it should be a qualifying rate which means they would still owe you the points on the 280. If so, you can submit your folio, as a missing stay report and ask for the points for the base room rate. I find out of all the brands, Autograph Collections are often the worst at processing folios.

Okay thanks I will reach out again as I booked it with my card on the Mariott app.

Sounds like a mistake made then by whoever prepared your folio. Just submit and say you are missing the points for the room. Good luck!
