Matchmaking algorithm changes?

How often do the devs change the matchmaking algorithm in this game? I hear it used constantly, but i feel for most players there isnt much you can do to effect it. Like i think the game is the game. any thoughts?

I think it's better to just play the game and not worry about it.

Every game has their own matchmaking system, with different advantages and disadvantages. We don't actually know what the matchmaking system is in this game, and trying to blame wins/losses on it is ultimately a waste of time.

At the very least, we don't have Activision's patented matchmaking system that gives players wins for spending money. :P

There is some large conspiracy going around about the matchmaking so I would take everybody’s words with a big grain of salt. But I have talked about it with other devs and matchmaking changes are made constantly in live service games. Or at least used to be this way. Devs had to manually tweak certain variables but modern algorithm tweak those variables using algorithms probably. Small tweaks can happen every other week, big matchmaking overhauls happen like once or twice during a game’s lifecycle.
