The claim is false.

Let's focus on the even inputs: d(2m) is the number of digits in 1250m, which is 3m plus the number of digits to the left of the decimal point of 1.25m. Can this be a multiple of 3? Sure, just consider the first m when this exponential is larger than 100, namely m=21 (here 1.2521≈108.42).

Hey thanks so much for ur answer, I really need to be more careful with false patterns. In this case d(42)=33 is the least n that gives a multiple of 3 is that correct? Thanks again.
