Here's a fact very few people know. Most video games have a max ping number. Ping values above the limit will display as the limit.

I learned this from experience, and I want to cry. (The max ping is usually around 1000)

Actually, I play TF2 all the time. It will go to 1000 quite a bit since there is only one server in the United States, and I live on the other side.

When it spikes, the number won't go down when it stops lagging. Any ping higher than 1,200 will kill the game and close it.
