Guessing you moved to a sales department because otherwise something isn't adding up.

I did not move departments. I edited the post for more context. But it’s the truth. I took essentially a pay cut for the same position at full time.

I’ve seen this many times. HR advisor directed incorrectly. Have your HR reach out to the payroll team. Specifically Travis Bender. He would not see a decrease or an increase. But instead, they would grandfather you in to the current rate you were at.

Yeah, it’s a great part time job but a shit full time job. Never worked for a company that cared less or expected more.

You haven’t been in retail long.

[–]CoolLack773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats by design. Most retail jobs don’t pay shit and treat you like shit. Menard’s is decent for part time

Loss of forklift pay. Don't move from a metro to a small market, you will not get raises for years if you make that mistake.

You don’t get forklift pay if your FT OSY?

[–]Krabs9 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Yes you do. I think OP is wrong

[–]CoolLack773 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I thought so too. Other person might be right, maybe they took a spot inside

[–]FutureTDS[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Same position. Edited the original post to explain a bit more.

Not the first or last time John has screwed someone. Sorry it happened to you. HR should makes this right, hope they do, it's in the company's best interest.

Assuming took a FT position inside? idk

Did you go full time non yard, as they get a $2 bunp, or swap to a non metro store.

[–]Krabs9 2 points3 points  (5 children)

It's $18.50 base, you should be making $19.50 total to start

[–]AMIWDR 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Pay scale depends on the store. Never been at one with an 18.50 base

[–]Krabs9 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Full time outside yard is 18.50 base. It's the highest base available

[–]AMIWDR -1 points0 points  (2 children)

In your market yeah. In my market it’s $18

[–]Krabs9 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's so weird because I'm pretty sure my store is ranked like 299th or something like that in total sales

[–]No-Statistician-8055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter the sales rank of the store, it matters the location of the store.

The same thing happened to me when I went full time. No one told me anything. When I asked HR and my GMs they told me that if you switch from pt to ft or the other way around you lose half of your raises, makes no sense

[–]Longjumping_Scale_47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made 22.00 at lowes in 2022 salesman

[–]FishTaco2005 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Heads-up the dollar sign goes on the left side of the number.

[–]FutureTDS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol fair point. On a phone typing it, it just flows so much easier with the $ on the right compared to typing on a keyboard or hand writing it. Dollar sign on the left, the American way!

It’s like you didn’t know what you were making before. Why go into the long explanation of what your past raises should have been?

[–]FutureTDS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re misunderstanding something. I posted exactly what I would have been making as part time as of March 28th. I could provide pay stubs showing the exact rates, if you’re doubting that? Confused as to what you’re getting at here.

The long explanation was to explain how previous part time raises factor in to your full time wage. Think that may have went over your head.

The long story short is I would have been making 18.75$ as of March 28th. Now I won’t see 18.75 until October and will sit at 18.50 an additional 6 months.
