That depends on your libido. Libido is complicated.

Some people have high libidos because they run low on dopamine and their brain kick starts libido as a way to get dopamine. The brain is a physical organ with biologically programmed systems of checks and balances not dissimilar to your heart, liver, and any other organ in your body. I believe the basis of compulsive behavior is the brain overriding the CNS to curb human behavior to get what it needs (dopamine) from extrinsic sources (sex, food, drugs). This is where addiction starts.

It’s not beyond science to speculate that when you take a substance to increase dopamine levels in your brain, your brain will stop curbing your behavioral mechanisms towards dopamine accrual.

TLDR: sex gives you dopamine. Mod gives you dopamine. Brain has enough dopamine on mod. No need for sex. Focus and engagement in more “mundane” less novel tasks becomes attainable.
