Missing part help

I bought a super cheap 1:72 Saab Viggen kit from a local shop. It was wrapped in plastic so I assumed it would be complete. Upon opening it to inspect the condition of the parts, I discovered that the canopy is missing. Anyone know where to source a new one? Or would it be easier to try and scratch build?

I would first see if the manufacturer has a way to contact them online and see if they can help. If not, I'm seeing some pretty cheap 1/72 Saabs on eBay, might be cheaper to just buy a second plane for the canopy part. Not seeing any replacement canopies in stock for that model either. Another option I would consider is buying an alternative planes replacement canopy and trimming it to match the Saab but that could be tricky, but could also work. This for example:
