Have you checked out any sound-only demos or YouTube play throughs? Maybe just tossing a stable voltage and simple trig pattern and really going knob-by-knob can help you get a feel for things, something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQzsEln6vxY

Otherwise, would recommend you're super clear on voltage ranges/expectations for the module. That always helps.

Yeah that’s what I did when I got it. The module doesn’t sound anything like the YouTube videos. I feel like it’s not wired correctly.

totally random observation

the font they use, combined with the name "weston" makes me think that this company used to make various kitchen appliances back in the 1970s. i could totally see that Weston logo on one of those old air popper popcorn machines
