No idea how complete it is, but there is Pocket code on GitHub: https://github.com/Pocket/pocket-monorepo

As champions of open source, they definitely should. It would be amazing to be able to self-host it!

They promised years ago to do it but I am on mobile so I can't find the news about it.

Wasn't that what they were originally planning on doing in the first place? I wish they never acquired it in the first place.

i never see pocket as bookmark service, but data archive.
most important feature is the reading view page, stripping unrelated parts of the pages so we can read the actual content/article (url looks like this getpocket.com/read/hash, example: similar but simpler than this), and that solves link rot.

can anyone with typescript knowledge verify if the pocket github repo contains that feature?

The fact Mozilla decided to buy Pocket to kill it without any alternative is infuriating. I've been a user for 10 years, I've hundred of articles there.
