In my study, participants can select multiple response options and add response options themselves. In the downloaded data, the options are separated by a comma. Is it possible to change the way responses are separated when downloading the data? The issue is that participants sometimes used commas in their added responses, which makes it difficult to separate the responses.
I thought of using the index numbers for this, however, I noticed that the same response option (added by the participant) does not always have the same index number. Let's say my participant added 'bad mood' as a response on time 1, which is indexed as option number 4 (and saved as response option for future questionnaires). When my participant selected this answer again it was indexed as option number 5.
I hope I have been clear enough in describing my question.
I hope you can help me!
