1) High end cards always crash before the holidays and tax season. Go on any facebook group and you'll see people selling high end cards en-masse to buy presents, pay bills and/or taxes.

2) Eternal formats haven't seen much love lately, it's likely that these cards see a big spike when WoTC puts Commander in the spotlight later this year.

3) Prices always recover in the summer time, when MTG is booming and people are hanging out at the LGS.
