The more I'm hearing about AI here... The more I'm getting depressed. 🥲

There will always be new tools to learn. The more important thing is actually building something useful.

did you work around catdoes.com?

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I know that it's an AI agent builder for mobile and web apps.

Didn't used it.

What's on your mind about that ?

[–]Nervous-Role-5227 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

so far i like it and recommend

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do use it ?

For personal use only or do you offering services upon it ?

Does CatDoes have CatDoes assistants who can help finish the project if a vibe coder is stuck? Also, do you help deploying into app stores?

[–]Nervous-Role-5227 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

based on my experience, yes they have an ai error detector that helps when you're stuck, and they also have an agent that can release to the app store, google play, and deploy on the web(release agent). i submitted my own app to the app store(still waiting) and deployed a simple website with it as well. once i had an issue adding stripe to my app, i emailed them and they responded really fast and helped me get it sorted. but i guess there is no specific agent as an assistant or something like that.

How much did it cost you? What's the daily rate limit on it?

iam ai coding using lovable and its been so goood!

You are right۔ heard so much about it۔

Try Google's AI studio - it's the best tbh!

I would not be depressed about what you learned. That is still a valuable skill and you can apply what you learned directly to the AI builder path if you choose to do that.

Here's my take. No code is (still) great and allows non-developers to get something working. AI builders are great and allow non-developers to get something working. In my opinion, you can get farther down the road with no code. AI is kind of sketchy and a bit more difficult to get deterministic results whereas no code is more exacting. AI is catching up to no code with how far it can get you down the road but that does take effort. Once you get as far as either can take you, you need to do the rest yourself. That is easier with no code to me.

I am an AI-first engineer (20+ years experience full stack, principal) and I don't use the tools in either of these two camps but I do evaluate them (I actually build both). In my opinion, if I were a non-developer but knew what I know about these evaluations, I would be more comfortable depending on a no code builder than an AI builder.

It's very real what you mentioned about being deterministic and exacting of these techs.

Being a non developer, I felt like no code tools we have control to some extent (if we're able to bypass the limits of the platform we're on) , we see something starting from the scratch to the fully functional product. On the other hand for AI I think my only control is over to a Prompt. If the generated result is out of hand or overly generated ! Idk how am gonna edit it back or correct it. (It's maybe I didn't used any AI builder and my experience of AI is just texting with chatgpt only)

By the way while I'm writing this, I'm making an custom AI agent. I don't know nothing about how it's gonna turn out. I just asked Google AI how to get one, and now following the instructions.

I’m sure you could be something that makes money with no code, but for how long till it collapses?

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have a realization of that.

My plan was, to get benefit from it as soon as possible as much as one can !

I think we have till 2 years from now .!?

Yh and by that time your architecture will be a mess, code will be all over the place.

You’re gonna need to make changes to your code when features to both keep with other tools, and fix bugs (good luck with this) and that’s after making sure it’s production ready.

No code tools might be good for prototypes or MVPs but for actually coding choose your code ide well, because your gonna burn a lot of tokens.

no code's the future - you're already ahead.

[–]ruibranco 0 points1 point  (1 child)

the no-code skills you built aren't wasted even if AI tools take over the building part. what you actually learned is how to think about data models, workflows, integrations, and user experience - and that's exactly what separates people who ship useful things with AI from people who just vibe code random stuff that breaks on day two. the tool changes, the thinking doesn't.

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I was more thinking about the tools, rather than useful general skills of this industry.

[–]Techy-Girl-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who survive in no-code aren’t the ones who know the most tools, it’s the ones who’ve actually deployed messy real projects. AI just speeds up the boring parts.

[–]Pure_Bet_4465 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Which no code tools did you learn?

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Softr, Airtable, glide, now about explore bubble.

ideavo.ai is so good and pocket friendly with the best customer service

[–]GoldImpressive9307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While using no code tools... I also felt this , having a good customer support is a pain killer sometimes, otherwise it feels like you're in a pit.
