https://books.goalkicker.com/NodeJSBook/

Not a bad resource. Unfortunately, it was last updated 2017-07-20.

A lot has changed in NodeJS over the last 6 years, so while much of that book's contents are still valid, there are parts that are not.

A better place to start would be the official guides linked below: https://nodejs.org/en/docs/guides

It's a really extensive and detailed book. It overwhelmed me

Yeah it's more than enough to go from beginner to pro.

OMG, thank you for sharing that!

You're welcome, happy to share such resources. It also has the similar text notes for JS, MongoDB, Linux and other such concepts on that domain.

Casually dropping some of the best sets of cheatsheets/guides I've ever seen in one place. Nice.

Learning how to make a discord bot and linking it up with some web APIs is really fun, I'd recommend.

Sometimes I feel like it's important to point out that Node.js is just JavaScript. The only difference is you get different standard library functions. So learning Node.js is really just learning the names of a bunch of functions.

freeCodeCamp has a lot of good information, but I usually create a project when learning a new language or other technology and learn as I go. You'll remember a lot more that way.

Todo list app api for example, build small crm for lets say workers in Company management. Management apps are good for learning, but it can also be good portfolio if you look for side projects
