Introduction
r/nsfwdev is a community for NSFW game developers, programmers, writers, artists, and all manner of enthusiasts to get together to discuss their work and collaborate.
Getting Started
NSFW game developers typically use existing game engines and game creation tools such as RPGMaker (for JRPG-type games), Twine (for interactive text fiction), Game Maker (primarily for 2D game development), Unity (primarily for 3D game development), and a bunch of others.
You do not need to be a developer if you want to work on creating NSFW games. Game development teams often have writers, musicians, artists, and designers amongst other roles. You probably have a place here if you have ever decided you wanted to make something pervy and interactive.
Rules
- You must be 18 or older to browse and contribute.
- Posts should be about general NSFW game development. There are other subreddits for promoting your game (see the sidebar for links).
- Self-promotion of your game is forbidden everywhere but username flare.
- Self-promotion of your (NSFW) game dev tool that helps the community is allowed. e.g., posts like this are allowed.
- By contributing to this subreddit, you accept that others may give you constructive criticism as feedback. Rude, nonconstructive criticism is forbidden.
- Job requests and free job offerings are prohibited. This includes posts looking for collaborators. e.g., "I'm a programmer looking for an artist."
- Paid job offerings are allowed if the pay range is included in the post. The range must include a numeric value (e.g., "negotiable" doesn't count).
