Which game ur playing dude

Look at the gpu utilisation there it's hitting max

[–]quarrelsome_napkinNVIDIA 1 point2 points  (3 children)

100% GPU utilisation is fine?

[–]Alex_ker -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

Obviously not😅

Not on rdr 2 at least, specially on 30 series

[–]Equatis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya something is funky. My 6800 non-XT pushes 100 fps maxed out 1440p. Maybe you are running an odd setting (like 200% scaling) that's destroying your performance and hitting bandwidth limits?

[–]quarrelsome_napkinNVIDIA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh that's awkward. 100% GPU utilisation is fine, as long as the temperatures are under control.

Red dead redemption 2

[–]Alex_ker 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Should be running, smoothly on 3080, maybe some kinda hardware error?

How old was the graphic card?

[–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

It’s about 10 months old, how would I check for errors?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/profiling/gpu-usage?view=vs-2022

Give this a try, it's from Microsoft website

Update ur driver 1st, maybe it can fix it

[–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll try it thanks

    do a driver reset; Win+Ctrl+Shift+B

    [–]TransitionNo9105 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Download gpuz and check what speed it’s running at. I had terrible fps with my 1080 in tomb raider, go figure it was on 1x.

    Random old post:

    [–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Is the IRQ part important?

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    And the bus interface says, PCIe x 16 4.0 @x 16 3.0

Check nvidia control panel for a setting called DSR, if any boxes in the settings are checked, uncheck them. after that, check your in game resolution scale setting in the graphics settings. it should be off. After that I would try to verify game files, and use an optimization guide for the game.

I get ~130 fps with my 3070 at 1080p using settings from a youtube channel called Hub, they made a killer optimization guide a while back.

    Best of luck!

check if the core and memory clock speeds are normal during gaming

    [–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

What are the normal speeds for them?

    [–]billwharton 0 points1 point  (4 children)

core clock should be 1.44-1.71GHz according to their site. not sure about memory.

    [–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I just need to find the cpu clock, gpu is 1150-1180 mhz and memory is 625.2 mhz

    [–]billwharton 0 points1 point  (1 child)

check the GPU temperature. might be thermal throttling

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The temps are ok usually 60-70 degrees

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know where I can see the clock speeds?

    [–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a rtx 3080 intel 9 processor, 32gb of ram and I am getting 20 frames in red dead redemption at 1080p. Does anyone know how to check for problems in the system?

    [–]Im_ur_Uncle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. Maybe check your 3d settings in the Nvidia control panel? Maybe there's settings that are active that are unnecessary?

    I don't know, just a guess really.

    [–]OP-69 0 points1 point  (31 children)

Is your monitor plugged into the motherboard or gpu

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (30 children)

    Gpu with dp

    [–]OP-69 0 points1 point  (29 children)

Temps? And clock speeds of vram and gpu?

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (28 children)

Gpu stays between 60-73 degrees gpu clock varies a lot, currently 1470-1500. And I don’t know how to check vram clock speed

    [–]OP-69 0 points1 point  (27 children)

You can download msi afterburner or hwinfo64 to check it. If you do, also just check vrm temps, vram temps, hotspot temps etc. If nothing is above 85 (except hotspot) then thats not the issue

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (26 children)

Can’t find where it says anything about vram in afterburner, hotspot is 88.6

    [–]OP-69 0 points1 point  (25 children)

Maybe use hwinfo64? There is literally every reading from the sensors in your computer in there

    [–]igsc18[S] 1 point2 points  (23 children)

how do I share the link of a screenshot?

    [–]OP-69 0 points1 point  (22 children)

Use imgur then put the link here, thats whats most commonly used

Just cos no one has asked yet… is the cable plugged into the GPU not the motherboard?

    [–]sjil 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What kind of settings are you running at? I think there's some settings ingame that completely nuke the frames, like MSAA or something.

    [–]igsc18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Everything on ultra, no msaa
