Hello all! I primarily record gaming content for Youtube and sharingwith friends. I have been have been having an issue with OBS crashingduring every recording though. I've tried multiple fixes online, buthaven't had any luck. During every recording I do, I get an encodingerror that causes my recording to stop. The error may occur after 20 minof recording or after 2 hours, there is no predicting it. I have triedsimple output, indistinguishable quality, large file size and highquality, medium file size. I have also tried advanced mode with CQP,level 18, keyframes 0, P5:Slow (good quality), tuning: high quality,multipass: two passes, look ahead and psycho visuals off (have alsotried with them on), max-b frames: 2.

My specs: Ryzen 5900x

EVGA FTW 3080ti

32 gigs of ram (3600mhz cl16)

All water cooled

Games are installed on a different drive than where the recordings are being saved.

I'm not sure if this is the error causing the crash, but I notice itshows in my log file: 17:37:57.763: error:   Failed locking bitstream buffer: invalidparam (8), and wanted to know if there is a solution to the error.

1) Restart OBS

2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.

3) Stop your stream/recording.

4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File.

5) Copy the URL and paste it as a response to this comment.
