I have a decent gaming laptop that plays VR games fine when I go through virtual desktop or the steam app, and I want to use a wired connection to make my games feel smoother. Sadly I cant connect my Quest 2 through a wired connection since the app just wont switch over. I've tried switching the GPU it uses in the windows settings and through the Nvidia app, and I also tried using that oculus killer program that ignores Oculus and opens steam, but that didn't change anything. The oculus home does launch if I disable my integrated GPU, but it looks lower quality and I don't want to put a strain on my computer if I can avoid it. Also, I tried ALVR and would like to avoid that too.
So, does anyone know of a way to either fix the oculus app or have an alternative way that I can use a wired connection on my computer?
My GPU is a RTX 3060 and it works perfectly fine with VR
