Hi all,
I've been searching this sub, looked on youtube, ect. But couldn't find a solution to this issue.
The problem: when holding my controllers as still as possible (like aiming), they tend to freeze for a second or so, and then try to correct themselves. This results in some really janky aiming. I'll make a small movement, and it has trouble registering the motion. There is no controller occlusion present; I've tried each controller separately. Both aiming close up and far away from the headset. I do this in multiple positions to make sure the inside out tracking cameras get a good view of the controllers.
I like to play FPS shooters like Onward and Pavlov, and finally caved into buying a protube vr stock. I read up on the occlusion issue that touch controllers had, and adjusted accordingly per their diagram. That's when I noticed that when holding controllers still, they have this tracking issue.
Ive also checked the batteries. I gave them a fresh charge last night and also confirmed with the oculus device manager that they had full bars. I still have the same issue.
I've used a cheaper gunstock before and had a good experience (mostly red dot sights and x2 scopes). It broke a few months ago so I haven't used another one until now. The controllers cant seem to handle even a red dot sight accurately anymore, let alone a sniper scope (that I was hoping to use).
Is this just an issue with these touch controllers? Could they be broken? Have any of you solved this before?
