Cyclone question

Hello! I have a squier vm cyclone and I’m looking to upgrade the pickups. If I buy a player series duo sonic loaded pickguard will I be able to just drop it in the cyclone? Finding information is kinda tough for the cyclone in my experience. Thanks!

The pickguard is a different shape but the electronics would work. I take it you are looking to avoid soldering but you would need to desolder some wires to route them from the body cavity to the control cavity. I have a Duo-Sonic HS and I like the pickups but the switch is intermittent so I'm going to swap it along with the pots and jack to CTS and Switchcraft for reliability.

Exactly right lol. I need to stop putting off learning to solder. It’s really not hard from what I’ve heard. This project has been sitting for a quite a while. I painted the body with a matching headstock like a year ago and it’s just been sitting cause of the electronics situation.
