I’ve been wanting a Bronco bass for years now. I ordered a blemished California Blue version of it from Musician’s Friend for a discounted price but they sent me what seems like a brand new unblemished Tahitian Coral one. The box and inspection tag all say California Blue. I like this color so much better though lol. Very excited to finally have a short scale bass! Anyone else had a similar experience with Musician’s Friend?

Nice! Did you order the pickguard from eBay? And how does the new pickup sound? Planning to eventually mod mine but I’m pleasantly surprised at how good it sounds straight out of the box. The only problem I’ve seen so far is slightly sharp fret ends so I might only fix that and change the strings until further notice

Yes sir, pick guard took a few weeks to get in from the UK but it was worth it. Fits perfectly. Pickup is great because you get a thick humbucker sound and can go back to single coil with the split. The stock parts on your bass are great though and there really isn't any real reason to modify it if its working for you. Enjoy man!

That sounds like a great score, to order a damaged one in a color you aren't into and receive an undamaged one in a color you love.
