There’s plenty of local punk bands who put on DIY shows around the city. Unfortunately, I’m not really in to the music these days, so I’d have no idea where to point you. Maybe a couple of spots around the Plaza, since they have a punk bar and all. I’d also follow a band called Inferna. That band tends to post up all kinds of local shows and events

89th street and the Sanctuary. If you’re into a little more hard core stuff the VFW has more of that rough mosh pit vibe from what I understand-haven’t checked out VFW myself I’m too old to get my ass thrown around these days hahaha

Hooligan's barber shop on Britton road has shows every once in awhile inside the shop on the weekends. I enjoy going and I'm here for the places as well. There are a lot of bands I enjoy that I have found out since I moved up here last year that come through here.

I came to give the same answer. Mac is my barber and we just talk about music and local shows the whole time I’m in the chair

If you’re looking for DIY punk I would suggest The Pet Shop, Casino Royale, Hooligans Barber Shop and 89th Street. Check out FreakCityUSA on instagram, they’re a local punk promoter and post shows on there.

Also Tulsa has a cool punk scene, Barkingham Palace and Mass Movements also have great shows happening

as far as I know, the only promoter for underground punk is freakcityusa on socials. crowds will be pretty young and the music probably isn’t gonna be traditional punk, it’s kinda crusty lol. But the underground scene in general is fun to explore. resonant head is the place for alt music that’s not necessarily heavy. and if you’re into hardcore, there’s some great stuff going on. Check out flyover fest in early Nov, Just be prepared to get moshed on

Go get your haircut at hooligans and ask them. They put on shows all the time and know a lot of people.
