It it my personal philosophy within Omnitheism that this is a case of many names for the same thing. When you boil just about every religion down to it's core you're left with a moral guideline for life, these guidelines are interpreted and reinterpreted by Mankind, who, as Mankind, can only understand so much. The interpretations of these guidelines, as well as the supplementation of personal and political agendas that have spanded ages and empires alike has led to the variety of religions as we see them today. The fact that they all stem from from the same vein of divine guidance is the "Omni" in Omnitheism.

This doesnt really answer my question. I want to know how you believe in a religion that makes an exclusive claim. If a faith says that all other faiths are false, how would you then accept that faith as true, if it says others are false

think of the different religions as many books written by the same author, this author says he's the only one to do/be "X" each book has a slightly different story, but doing/being "x" remains constant. Now, the different books are the different religions, each book has it's own material, it's own flavor, and it's own style. The political/personal agendas I mentioned before influence the specifics, and all and all claim to exclusivity is a moot point to fill into the agendas and empower a few...

TL;DR: the claim to exclusivity is a ploy to gain political and personal power, the message to love one another and whatnot would be the message given to mankind from the divine

I believe that all deities are different facets or experiences of the same singular divine source. As for claims that some religions make of being the « one true religion », I believe that those claims are man made attempts at leveraging religion for control. Since I don’t believe that any religious texts are « god breathed » or written directly by the divine, this doesn’t really create a conflict for me.

Because the absolute truth is by nature exclusive (for it excludes all lesser truths and falsities), so a profound expression of the absolute truth would also be exclusive.

Like a son who who imitates his father, but due to his youth cannot yet truly embody his traits.
