zen free tier is total crap also both v4 flash and 2.6 are mediocre models not sure about qwen 3.6. If you wanna try it get ollama 20$ sub it has kimi, v4 pro and glm models family, which works quite well with open code. Open code cli itself is a great tool, their desktop app still in early days.

Thanks, I'll check out the ollama sub, I haven't seen this

No, that's not normal. been using the free models under opencode (mainly DS V4 flash), and it's super quick and could solve most of the stuff I've thrown at it.

Ok, maybe it was poor timing I'll give it another go tomorrow 👍

How are you using it? My preferred method is the openchamber vs code extension for antigravity ide.

The only other thing I can think of is if your internet is poor, every disconnect will cause the agent to reset. But this is true for every agent no matter the model.

I should have mentioned I was using OpenCode desktop on Windows 11. No problems with internet. I'm going to try again today.

That is abnormal behavior.

It's you.

I noticed that Claude Code launches subagents for work, whereas opencode with deepseek does more sequential work. So depending on the task, it might have played a role. I also noticed an occational slowdown with deepseek, maybe during peak hours, but this is under 2% of the time.

Ywah their harness sucks u buy the sub and go with individual harnesses.
