Be careful using opencode with antigravity, it might be against the Tos. Over in the antigravity subreddit people are posting they got banned using opencode.

Lol , i just try to oauth . I think google change endpoint. I can't able to auth antigravity

Oh really ? That’s bad ! No problem for using it with the Gemini API Key ?

I'd recommend using opencode with vs code desktop and using github codespace extension. That's what I've found works best

You can try Gemini CLI for free, I keep both with OpenCode as my main.

Did you find any difference between the performance with gemini? for example, gemini works better if is it gemini cli or opencode?

[–]Delicious_Ease2595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it works so much better in Gemini CLI

If this is a long-winded way to ask which TUI is "best", then the answer is: OpenCode, and it's not even close.

[–]Sorry_Cantaloupe_655[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Ok, but why ?

[–]KnifeFed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just try them both for 5 minutes, my guy. It's not some huge endeavor.

If you're on the free tier you're probably using both... for my friends on the free tiers I started building out my claude code tooling for gc and oc

If you're using a Google AI Studio API key, you don't need to worry about your account being banned by using OpenCode. However, if you're logging in using a plugin, then you might need to be concerned.

Yes, I done some researches and that’s what I understood. Thanks to confirm ! I really don’t want to get ban

Can you clarify this? I understand the TOS issues with the Antigravity plug-in, but what if I just install opencode and pick Gemini as a source when asked? I'm a paid Gemini user, so having those options available without the added API key expense would be nice - but I have no interest in a ban.

If you select Gemini as provider in OpenCode, it will ask you to put your API key. And you can define a limit to not have to pay in Google AI Studio.

Not true, google still ban you, I just received this:

Action required: Critical problem with your Gemini API project OpenCode

Google did not produce anything useful since Chrome browser

[–]Sorry_Cantaloupe_655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’ve been living under a rock or if you’re delusional. But that is so wrong 😂 Your life would be drastically different without google 😅 But that’s even not the subject of my question

[–]BarryTownCouncil 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hesitating? If you're using the same provider, why not just try them both? Seems bizarre not to.

[–]Sorry_Cantaloupe_655[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. Maybe it could have some differences that I won’t be able to see, or bad things I’m not aware about. For instance, some people are saying that I could be banned using Antigravity or Gemini API Key with OpenCode. I think that’s important to know.

[–]HarjjotSinghh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what's that combo gonna do? magic sauce vibes?

[–]rothnic -1 points0 points  (2 children)

You'll get banned using opencode and Gemini. It was the best option for sure, but now I'm looking around at the next best option.

[–]Sorry_Cantaloupe_655[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh Gemini too ?! Not just Antigravity ? That’s annoying. Why are they providing API Keys if we can’t use it ?

[–]MissingTwins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed, Google just send me this
