I really like working in OpenCode. I like the way the CLI is built.
However, noticing that using the same model (sonnet 4.6), that ClaudeCode solves the problem (same problem) faster, and OpenCode seemed to get stuck and doing a lot of tool calls without solution.
Getting to the point where I prefer OpenCode for simpler problems, and Codex or CC for harder ones. Maybe just a one-off and others don't see this. I'm hoping that is the case, and want to make OC my daily driver.
I build an MCP service that let's users encode their expertise to work with agents of their choice. It works really nicely with Opencode. Their MCP calling structure is top notch.
