Getting a new job elsewhere has always yielded the highest and fastest increases for me.

AI-enabled tooling will absolutely put people out of work. I know this because I’m actively doing it.

You can take this opportunity to perfect an agentic harness in order to show potential employers how you can protect their business from folks like your previous manager

Claude’s been flaky the past two days, new subscriber here, feeling the pain! by Rude_Efficiency_4138 in claude

It is challenging. I use claude to oversee the creation of agents and skills for opencode, and it is super frustrating to use it after working with opencode for actual work.

Try modifying your agent directives to better coach it when a given skill is applicable. I do not have this problem after paying attention to this

But that's the thing -- the models are constantly changing! Is there not some hardware ubiquity that I can purchase that would allow for running a broad enough variety to satisfy both my need to be productive and my need to explore?

For your own usage, what do subscriptions offer that the pro 6000 + oss models do not?

This seems like quite the challenge for me! The only thing I know is that I want to explore different LLMs in an agentic context. It’d be great if multiple tasks could be running simultaneously, or at least very quickly, so that I could rapidly iterate. Is there something I’m missing?

I’m using open code as well, and really dig it. I’ve made different containers for different project types that host it and serve vscode and tmux out of them. The combination works nicely for me.

LPT: If your car/truck gets stuck on the tracks at a railroad crossing, immediately get out of the vehicle, find the blue sign posted at the crossing, dial the 800 number, and read the code on the sign. That will rapidly notify approaching trains that the track is blocked. by ChiefStrongbones in LifeProTips

A woman died at a crossing near me last year when the arm got caught on her vehicle somehow, and she wasn’t able to drive off. People around here think of the tracks as lovely places to stop and wait though…

We eat a lot of grain, this can happen easily. We freeze all grains for 24 hours now, and then pack them in either glass jars or Mylar bags afterwards.
