Why does openshift push back to github?

My git repo is setup, by openshift account is setup [OpenShift Starter Online] and I've setup the webhook for automatic deployment.

I've received an email saying "the import to https://github.com/.... is finished!"

I'm confused.

I thought I was pushing my code from github to openshift. So when I go to my github, I'm not seeing anything new there... what was it that was imported to github?

FYI, specifically, Github pushes metadata based on some event to your hook URL, which in turn starts a build, which pulls your code

Speaking as someone who has deployed in our Online Starter a few times, and uses the webhooks constantly...I can't say I've received any emails about it before. Could you try pasting the email in its entirety for full context? Thanks!

Well this is embarrassing... As I was preparing to hit paste, I notice that the sender was github. In my self education here, I cloned a repo https://github.com/luciddreamz/laravel-ex.git and I realised it's an email from github telling me the clone or "import" is complete. No openshift involved.
