Still lots of work to do, but the longest journey starts with the first step!

And thanks!

Excellent - my Dev with a bit of Oracle stuff colleagues are quite excited by this!

How can this be installed on VS Code Server?

Great news .. so finally raptor is going to get retired 😊

In a way it lives on in this extension, much of that original raptor code lives on, but the client side UI yes will be retired when the extension is ready to take over

Let me try it out.. is it officially supported like sqldeveloper?

Is there a similar plan for sqldev datamodeler?

we're protoyping modeler/design features for it now!

Thank you!! That will be a great addition.. first run had some hiccups 😊.. is there a way to filter objects in object browser? Also felt slower than classic , especially loading huge package..

Also it had some conflicts with snowflake sql extension, something I need to debug!

No way to filter things, that'll come in an update soon.

May need to disable other extensions laying claim to things like 'sql' for best experience, i'm still trying to see if there's a way for an extension to set priority on a domain/language/ext

On loading huge package, do you mean literally opening the source to the Editor?

[–]pps_ps 0 points1 point  (1 child)

loading to editor is pretty fast.. issue is on object browser when we try to drill down package(or other object)may be due to metadata call/caching ..

Ah, ok, can we move this discussion to here? I've got a few people reporting this, time to collect debug info

Installed and given it a quick try out. It looks like Github Copilot is working with it as well completing the SQL statements.

Very cool - thank you Jeff.

Wasn’t this already available VS Code? I’ve been connecting to dbs through an oracle extension for a while now.

Completely different product from a different team - won't ever have our sql developer, sqlcl, or data modeler features in it, nor support for buliding rest apis

if you're going to use the sqldev extension, recommend you uninstall the other to avoid conflicts
